Firstly, Psycho is awesome. I mean, the guy has the SAS insignia tattooed on the back of his head. And of course, he's English :)
Your friendly resident Psycho.Secondly, I'm afraid that's pretty much where any praise I have for the game ends. In all honestly, I found the game to be quite boring. The storyline wasn't anything amazing, and the gameplay struggled to keep my attention. It was just not...interesting.
Then there was the glitches. Oh god, the glitches. I almost could not complete the game because of a majorly retarded glitch in the last boss fight. So you fight him on the deck of a ship. Well, that's all dandy, except I kept falling through the floor. To the floor below, then from there, into the water, where you just drown after a short while. To make things worse, it autosaved right after the glitch had just happened. But that's okay, being an experienced gamer, I know the importance of keeping multiple saves in different slots. But no, that wasn't enough. The save just BEFORE that autosave also ended up corrupted somehow with the same glitch.
Still, I was determined to finish the game because I hate leaving things unfinished, and only by sheer luck, after many tries, I managed to work my way around it somehow.
This was not the first glitch I had run into either, I had the same kind of problem in a few other areas of the game (floor dissapearing beneath your feet, and the like.)
I also found some of the controls to be quite lousy, in particular, the helicopter mission towards the end. I almost didn't have the will to continue with it. I honestly don't know if glitches were also to blame for this, but the helicopter controls seemed very unresponsive and sometimes wouldn't do ANYTHING for me at all (Like, I'd press the forward button to go, surprisingly forward, but the helicopter would just hover there.) Very annoying.
All in all, I think glitches and some crappy controls let this game down. That being said, it does have some beautiful graphics, awesome weapons, and the Nano suit with all it's different functions was fun to fiddle around with. And that's my brief thoughts on Crysis.
